TWO CRASH VICTIMS

NEW PLYMOUTH INQUEST A FORMAL VERDICT (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. A formal verdict was returned yesterday by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., tlie district coroner, at. an inquest into the deaths of . FlightLieutenant Harold Cuthbert Wiles and Aircraftman Norman William Wilson. Both were killed when a machine of the R.N.Z.A F. crashed about two miles to the north-west of the aerodrome when engaged in night-flying training operations on October 15. Finding death was instantaneous and resulted from multiple injuries caused when the machine crashed and caught fire, Mr. Woodward said f bat a full technical inquiry had been heid into the accident and no doubt any measures which might prevent similar accidents suggested as a result of that inquiry would be taken.
