THEFT FROM NURSERY

ABOUT 7000 PLANTS About 6800 flower plants valued at approximately £2O were stolen from the nursery of Mr. S. B. Snelling, Green Lane, Auckland, one night last week. Mr Snelling estimates that m addition damage amounting to £ls was done. The intruders must have been busy for close on an hour removing the plants. Mr. Snel ling’s nursery is the second in the district to be plundered in this manner during the last six months. Towards the end of May, thieves stole 3000 Iceland poppy plants worth £ls from the garden of Mr. A. White, of 32 Kowhatu Road, One Tree Hill. Mr. White-, was the victim of a similar theft in May, 1940.
