General .luin has been appointed as commander-in-chief in North Africa and General Bart-au cornrnander-iti-chief in West. Africa.
A perman&iil secretarial-general for French Africa replaces the GovernorGeneralship. Vice-Admiral Fqnarcl has been appointed os the permanent crrrr'arv-General in French Africa. M. Chntcl is appointed GovernorGeneral of Algeria.
General Weygand is going to jhe Riviera for a brief holiday.
