MELBOURNE CUP
INTERESTING FILM At a private screening at the Kirig’s Theatre this morning a number of racing enthusiasts expressed keen appreciation of the pictorial record of the Melbourne Cup, which commences its Gfsborne screening to-morrow. A comprehensive view of the eritireface, -together with parts in slow . motion, gave a vivid insight into • the -progress of this exciting event. The last scene in slow motion showing Skipton drawing away from the field an easy winner, leaving Bon of Aprous and the New Zealand champion, Beau'Vite, to battle it out for the minor places,, brought the film to an,exciting -finish. Of equal interest'was . the accompany-ing-record of the running of the Caulfield Gup, showing the gruelling neck and neck battle be’tween Velocity and Reading.®
