ELECTRICAL WIRING
MILKING MACHINE WORK FITTER FINED BY COURT (Per Press Association.) WAIHI, this day. “If it is true that all milkingmachine companies do this sort of thing, the sooner publicity is given the better,” said Mr. W. If. Freeman, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, in imposing fines of £5 and £1 on a milking-machine fitter, who, when pleading guilty to charges of having done electrical wiring work at farms near Waihi when not registered, stated that the practice was general. The magistrate said that although the defendant might not endanger himself there was always the likelihood that someone else might be electrocuted. Moreover, such practices enabled lower prices to be quoted when a registered electrician should be called in.
