SOVIET TRANSFERS
FACTORIES AND STAFFS DIPLOMATS IMPRESSED (Reed. Nov. 20, 11 a.m.) CAIRO, Nov. 19. Sir Walter Monckton, of the British Ministry of Information, and Mr. Steinhardt, the United States Ambassador to the Soviet, and members of their party have arrived by air at Cairo. Members of the party are unanimous concerning the stubbornness of the Russian resolve to beat the Germans. They saw train after train travelling eastward, carrying dismantled factories. The first trucks contained machine-tools. Then came steelwork and even brickwork of the factories. Finally came the workers with their families and furniture, all cheerful and undismayed.
