NUDIST IN QUEEN ST.
LEFT CLOTHES ON ROAD FINE OF £5 IMPOSED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Found walking in Queen street naked at 4.20 o’clock this morning, Joseph Viscoe, aged 48, ?. timber worker, was taken into custody by a constable and later pleaded guilty in the Police Court to a charge of behaving in a disorderly manner. “Viscoe left his clothes in a heap pear the Town Hall,” said SubInspector Macnamara. “The constable sa.vs he appeared to'be quite normal. Viscoe told the constable that he had taken ill and had removed all his clothes in order to get his breath. Viscoe has a long list of previous convictions, mostly for drunkenness.” The magistrate, Mr. J. Molding, imposed a fine of £5, or 10 days’ imprisonment.
