£8,000,000 LOAN IN EIRE
DEFENCE EXPENDITURE (Reed. Nov. 4, 10 a.m.) DUBLIN, Oct. 31. The Eire Minister of Finance, Mr. S. O’Kelly, told the Dail that a new security loan of £8,000,000 is being raised to meet abnormal defence expenditure and to finance schemes for the production of food and peat fuel, and also to provide capital for shipping.
