WORK ON THE TRACKS (Reed. Oct. 31, 3 p.m.) MELBONURNE, Oct. 31. Silver Mask, engaged in the Mnribyrnong Plate, is galloping well, but his public form is moderate. England’s Glory who was amiss prior to the Caulfield Cup has resumed work and may he prepared for the Williamstown Cup. The trainer, Jack Fryer, refutes rumours that all is not well with the Derby candidate, Skipton. Fryer sayH that the colt is fit, but usually feels a hard race. No Melbourne Cup plans will be declared until after the Derby.
