AGED WOMEN’S HOME
£2200 TARANAKI BEQUEST
Estimated at £2200, a bequest by Mrs. C. E. M. Bingham, who died at New Plymouth on July 7, has been made for a home at New Plymouth, one of the purposes of which is the care of aged women. A condition is that it shall not be a home controlled by a hospital or (charitable aid board. There is no home in the town at present that fits such a description. The will provides that £IOOO and the residue of the estate after paying other legacies is to be invested in the common fund of the Public Trust Office for 21 years from Mrs. Bingham’s death, or until a home of the kind described is erected at New Plymouth, in which event the money is to be made available. Other bequests include £250 to the New Zealand Institute for the Blind.
