FALL FROM TRAIN
N.Z. VISITOR INJURED ACCIDENT IN N.S.W. (Reed. Oct. 31, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 31. A railway passenger, believed to be a New Zealander, Mr. Charles Campbell Pike, aged 53, who probably arrived in Sydney last Saturday from Waipukurau, was found critically injured beside the railway line near Taree, on the north coast, on Wednesday. A diary found in his clothes gave the man’s name, age, address and a rail ticket revealed that he had visited Grafton where the police ascertained he had a sister whom he had not seen for 30 years. Police inquiries yesterday led to the belief that he accidentally fell from the train platform and fractured his skull. He was still unconscious last night and is receiving every attention in the Taree Hospital.
