ROOSEVELT SPEECH
BROADCAST INTENDED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 11.30 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 7. It is announced in Washington that President Roosevelt is to give a broadcast address at 2 p.m., New Zealand time, on Tuesday. The announcement of Jdr. Roosevelt’s intended speech caused much interest in London. It is popularly expected that he may speak about the delicate Far East situation, on which the United States and Japanese informal talks have been proceeding, and also about the coming Moscow conference between the three great Powers engaged in the cause~"of freedom.
