CONDITION SERIOUS
MAN INJURED IN FIRE FALL ONTO ROADWAY (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Injured through falling on the roadway while escaping from the fire in the warehouse of John Burns and Company, Limited, Mr. Francis Harold Baker, aged 46, a cashier, is still in a serious condition in the Auckland Hospital. He is suffering from concussion and a probable fracture of the base of the skull. The condition of the other two in hospital, Mr. R. G. McWhirter, aged 44, a traveller, and Miss Stella Young, aged 33, a clerk, is not serious.
