NAPIER HARBOUR
USE OF BREAKWATER A conference between the Overseas Shipping Allotment Committee and the Napier Harbour Board in connection with shipping in Napier will be held next month. At a meeting of the Napier Harbour Board, the chairman, Mr. Trevor M. Geddis, in moving the recommendation of the finance committee that a conference be held, stated that it was in connection with the berthing of overseas vessels at the port of Napier. A special meeting of the board would be held to meet representatives of the Overseas Allotment Committee, together with its superintendent and local representative. The construction of a deep-sea port in Napier was nearing completion, and Mr. Geddis expressed the hope that the board would have the fullest cooperation Of the Overseas Allotment Committee in the use of the harbour facilities provided.
