FLYING CROSS AWARD
NIGHT FIGHTER ATTACKS The citation has been issued con'■•erning the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross, announced on August 8. to acting Squadron-Leader Victor Bosanquct Verity, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Verity, of Cave, South Canterbury. The citation states that SquadronLeader Verity had shown a fine example by the skill with which he ntercepted enemy aeroplanes at night lime and the determination he displayed in his attacks. He destroyed at least two enemy aeroplanes and damaged two others.
