IMPERIAL WAR CABINET
REVIVAL NOT PRESSED Although it has been suggested from time to time that a revival of the Imperial War Cabinet which was called together during the last war might again serve the Empire’s war effort, with benefit both to Great Britain and the Dominions, it is understood that New Zealand has not pressed the British Government for the establishment of such a Cabinet. The acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. W. Nash, said in Wellington that the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, was remaining in London for a few days to confer with the War Cabinet in the United Kingdom. The New Zealand Government thought it might be helpful to Mr. Winston Churchill and his colleagues to hear the Dominion’s views through Mr. Fraser. - Mr. Nash said that an Imperial War Cabinet might be useful in affording an opportunity for direct examination of the actualities of the conflict.
