INVADING BRITAIN GERMAN AMBITION USE OF PARACHUTES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assri.) (Reed. Aug. 18, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 17. “The Nazis will attempt an invasion of England before the end of this year at all costs,” says the British United Press correspondent on the German frontier. “Germany is making 1,000,000 parachutes for use in the attempt to invade England from the air. It is planned to drop parachutists in foggy weather. The parachutes ordered by the German High Command include a type which enables troops to be dropped from a much lower altitude than before. All silk mills in Germany have been ordered to end unnecessary work and concentrate on parachute silk.
