CHIANG AND STALIN
MEETING MOOTED ANSWER TO JAPAN (Reed. Aug. 18. 2.20 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 17. Marshal Chiang Kai-Shek is to go to Moscow shortly to meet M. Stalin for the first time, says the diplomatic correspondent of Reynolds News. Chiang will discuss Far East problems. A Chinese military mission is already in Moscow and it is believed that any Japanese threat to Siberia would bring about a Soviet-Chinese mutual aid agreement.
