The Birds Still Sing!
Here is a copy of a letter received from the head of a Arm in Coventry, England, after his business premises had been destroyed by German raiders:—“lt is such cheering and encouraging letters as yours that stimulate the spirit and urge forward all of us here in our efforts to get going again in this wrecked and battered city. This is our definite objective, and when we are again ‘in service’ you shall know. Meanwhile among the ruins of St. Nicholas, the bil’ds still sing and the spring flowers smile: life is yet young, the summer is on the way. We have much to be thankful for, and we know it. So, in the words of A. P. Herbert’s recent' broadcast, ‘Let's all be gay’.”
