NAVAL OFFICERS
TRAINING IN BRITAIN LONDON, Aug. 9. Young men from far corners of the Empire are still flocking to the Royal Navy’s biggest training establishment for officers, which since the war began has passed more than 6500 men through training. Over 500 of these men —all of whom have gone to sea as officers—have come from the Dominions. ' 'Canada’s contribution is about 350, and Australia’s over 100, while New Zealand and South Africa have supplied the rest. . Most of the trainees are young men who have already served some months at sea as ratings, and have been recommended for commissions.
