MR. F. A. JONES DEAD (Per Press Association.) DARGAVILLE, this day. The death is announced of Mr. Francis Augustine Jones, aged 71, a member of the Kaipara Hospital Board since January, 1941. He was Mayor of Dargaville from 1925 to 1939, president of the Northern Wairoa St. John’s Ambulance, a foundation member and the first president in 1939 —1940 of the Dargaville Rotary Club. His second son, Lieutenant Kenneth F. Jones, formerly engineer to the Cook County Council, is overseas with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.
