DIED ON SUCCESSIVE DAYS
A son and his elderly father died in the Wanganui Public Hospital on successive days. They were Mr. Sydney Robinson, aged 75, and Mr. Eugene Robinson, aged 43. There was a double funeral. Mr. Robinson, sen., was born on the site of the old Chief Post Office, Wanganui, where his parents then lived. His father was at one time licensee of Chavannes Hotel, and was the originator of the first Wanganui Volunteer Fire Brigade. Mr. Robinson, sen., is survived by his wife.
