BARTLETTS SOCIAL
(Herald Correspondent.) The Bartletts Social Club held its weekly progressive five-hundred evening in the Bartletts Y.M.C.A. supperroom. Eight tables were in use. Prior to the commencement of the commencement of the games, Mr. F. Mulligan welcomed two soldiers, Privates W. Te Hau and C. M. Ehau. who were home on leave from Papakura military camp. The prize for the highest score was gained by Mrs. J. Matenga in the ladies’ section and by Mr. J. Matenga in the men’s. Other prizes were won by Mrs. Ngarangionu and Mr. J. F. Lawrence. The competition was won by Mr. F. Mulligan. Messrs. F.. Mulligan and T. O'Donnell were in charge of the games, and members of the ladies’ committee served supper.
