(Per Prefls Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. A fine of £3O was imposed this morning on James Patrick Gorman for carrying on business as a bookmaker. Detective Sergeant Hall said that he understood Gorman was a member of qix unlawful association. The magistrate, Mr. H. W. Bundle: I presume you refer to some bookmakers’ association. Detective Sergeant Hall: They call it the National Sportsmen’s Association, or some such thing.
