SUICIDE BY CZECH
STEEL WORKS HEAD CHARGES BY GESTAPO (Reed. Aug. 15, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 14. Bazilek, the general manager of the Berg and Hutten steel works, Czechoslovakia, one of the largest now working for Germany, committed suicide, reports the Daily Express correspondent. He was called to Berlin because the Gestapo found many acts of sabotage at the steel works. As he was unable to explain them, Herr Himrnler held him responsible. Returning to the works, Bazilek went Into his office and shot himself.
