RATIONING OF PETROL
SYDNEY, Aug. 12., Registrations of new motor cars in New South Wales in July totalled 95, compared with 312 in July, 1940. The decline is attributed to the severe rationing of petrol. The general secretary oi the Service Station Association of New South Wales, Mr. C. A. Gregory, said that the full effects of petrol rationing were now being felt. Mr. Gregory said that the association was asking the State Government to set up a fair rents board to enable tenants of garages to apply for readjustment of their rents in a way that was not possible through the State Fair Rents Court.
