TROTS POSTPONED
ADDINGTON THIRD DAY RAIN IN CHRISTCHURCH (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The third day of the Metropolitan Trotting Club’s meeting to-day has been postponed to August 23. Rain fell steadily yesterday except for two or three hours in the middle of the afternoon and steady rain fell last night with no sign of abatement. The committee met last night and obtained permission from the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, after deciding to postpone the meeting to-day.
