MUSIC EXAMINATIONS
GISBORNE SUCCESSES A large number of candidates recently sat in Gisborne practical examinations in music, the examiner being Dr. Arundel Orchard, examiner for the Trinity College of Music, London. Passes were secured by the following: Senior.—Piano: Victor John Clement (Miss E. Watson) and Rowan Kelly (Miss E. Watson). Violin: Sigrid Ferris (Miss H. Henrikson). Junior.—Piano: Audrey Wilkinson, honours (Miss I. M. Skillen). Preparatory.—Piano: Roslyn Carruthers (Mrs. M. Pinching). Violin: lan Gordon (Miss H. Henrikson). First Steps.—Piano: John Sellman (Mrs. L. Elliott). Violin: Norman Morris, merit (Miss H. Henrikson), Michael Vita, merit (Miss H. Henrikson) .
