BOWLS SEASON
KAHUTIA OFFICERS NEW APPOINTMENTS Following resignations, n rearrangement ol executive oliicers was made by the Kabutia Bowling Club at a meeting of the committee held last night, when sub-committees also were appointed. The list of officers for the season, together with the sub-committees, is as follows: — President, Mi-. C. McKcssar; vice-president. Mr. E. Esipiilant: hon. secretary, Mr. C. (1. Vail; hon. treasurer, Mr. 0. A. Weutherley; committee, Messrs. 'l'. J. Ellis, E. File, P. Eischbach, H. Downey and E. Barrett; centre delegates, Messrs. McKcssar, VV. Jaclison and Ellis; linance committee, Messrs. It. B. Watt, Weutherley and Ellis; match committee, the whole committee; social committee, Messrs. File, Barrett and Downey; tournament committee, Messrs. Esipiilant, Fisehbach and Barrett; pennant committee, Messrs. McKcssar and Watt; selection committee, Mr. Watt and any two other members of the committee; board stewards, Messrs. File, Fisehbach and Barrett; club coach and green superintendent, Mr. Watt. In regard to the appointment of the centre delegates, it was stated that Mr. Vail, one of the original selections, had been asked to act as delegate for the Waikaromoana club, and for that reason Mr. Vail resigned his position to Kahutia delegate. Much work on the greens was reported, but it was believed that probably it would be towards the end of September Indore they were ready for play. The committee decided that in the meantime Saturday aiteriioou eribbage tournaments would be held, commencing next Saturday.
