In a letter to yesterday’s meeting of the Wairoa Harbour Board, a former member, Mr. M. G. M. Williams, expressed his thanks for courtesies extended to him during his term on the board and his best wishes for the board’s future success.—Special. Mr. M. R. Milne, telegraph engineer for the Gisborne district, is to leave for Wellington shortly to take up a position in the department's radio section. Mr. Milne has been in Gisborne for the past two years, having come previously from Whangarei. He will be succeeded in Gisborne by Mr. H. G, Lakeman. Auckland.
