PEOPLE FROM EIRE
ENTRY INTO BRITAIN {_ INVESTIGATION PROPOSED LONDON, Aug. 4. New defence regulations to be issued in a few days will make it impossible for anyone to enter Britain from Eire until his or her history has been investigated. This is one of many new steps being taken to prevent vital war information reaching enemy countries through Eire. Germany still has diplomatic representation in Eire, and Germans virtually are free to enter and leave the country. The danger of information leakages and the ease with which travellers are able to cross from Ulster to Eire have been repeatedly emphasised by the British press. The new regulations will enable police and intelligence authorities to maintain stricter control over people permitted to enter Britain from Eire to take up employment.
