AWARD OF DAMAGES
VICTIM OF COLLISION SUM OF £1569 ALLOWED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Damages totalling £1509 15s 2d were awarded by a jury in the Supreme Court to Shirley Donne, aged 27, master of science and assistant parisitologist for the Department of Agriculture at Wallaceville Laboratory.
The plaintiff was seriously injured in a head-on collision with a car driven by the defendant, Bernard Anderson Ferrier. Liability was admitted by the defendant, the jury merely having to assess the damages.
