STOPS PETROL BURNS INVESTIGATIONS BY R.A.F. (Reed. Aug. 12, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 11. The Royal Air Force is investigating a liquid which, it is claimed, would render airmen immune from petrol burns. A demonstrator applied the liquid to his hands, face and clothing, alter which petrol was thrown over him and set alight, but lie merely brushed the flames away. Then a suit soaked with petrol was set alight, and the (lames were put out merely by shaking the suit.
