FIRST NAZI VICTIM

SECOND EAGLE SQUADRON FIGHTERS IN R.A.F. (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 11. The second all-American Eagle Squadron, which has' been formed in the Royal Air Force has already had its first encounter with the enemy. As a result the squadron claims a Junkers 88 was probably destroyed. Two of its pilots were patrolling over an English port with fighters equipped with both cannon and machine-guns, when they saw the Junkers emerge from thick cloud. They chased it and gave it a burst with machine-guns. The enemy was last seen giving off volumes of black smoke and losing speed rapidly. The original Eagle Squadron has a score of seven enemy machines shot down.
