BRITAIN AND AMERICA USE OF BASRA ROUTE (Reed. Aug. 12, 9 a.m.) . LONDON, Aug. 11. The Basra. correspondent says that British and American military supplies are pouring continuously to Turkey through. Basra, whence supplies are rushed northwards by river and rail and immediately unloaded from ships. Turkish self-confidence has grown since Britain rendered the Basra supply route safe. Turkish shipments are given priority over all but the most urgent military supplies for the British forces.
