DOMINION WAR LOAN
£2,250,000 SUBSCRIBED SATISFACTORY PROGRESS (Per Press Association.) , WELLINGTON, this day. The acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. W. Nash, stated that he had been notified by the Reserve Bank that subscriptions to the Government's war loan for the week ended August 7 amounted to slightly over £2,250.000. the actual figures being £2,339,320. This, said Mr. Nash, indicated satisfactory progress towards the total of £10.000.000 which was required before the loan closes on September 2.
