SEIZURE OF OIL
JAPANESE CHARGES (Reed. Aug. 11, 9 a.m.) SHANGHAI, Aug. 9. The Japanese Navy spokesman in Shanghai said that 2000 barrels of oil from the Standard Oil Company’s tanker Meiyo has been confiscated by the Japanese navy. Investigation had disclosed that the oil was destined for guerrilla territory north of the Yangtze River.
