(Herald Correspondent.) The first of a series of euchre parties and dances was held in the Puha Hall on Saturday night in aid of the hall funds. There was a good attendance, and Miss L. Ruru supplied the dance music. Mr. J. Ba.yly vva?T the M.C. The winners of the euchre were:—Ladies. —Mrs. Peach, 1; Mrs. Cameron, 2. Gentlemen. —Mr. G. Peach, 1; Mr. A. Cameron, 2. A delicious supper was served. The next function of the series will be held next week. Miss A. White is visiting Mrs. G. Sel'lon, Puha. —Mr. and Mrs. R. W. White, late of Puha. have taken up their residence in Timaru. —Pte. D Ncshausen, who has been spending a short leave with his parents, lias returned to camp.—Pte. Arnold Brown, previously reported missing, is now in hospital in Greece.
