Inter-School Games
Basketball and Rugby footoall matches between teams representing the Gisborne Intermediate School arid the Te Karaka District High School were played on the Intermediate School grounds during the week. The visitors from Te Karaka found their opponents too strong and were beaten in the two basketball matches by 12 to nine arid by 22 tq t\yo. Intermediate also won thy Rugby match, by 2h points to nil. Fast, open play was seen in all the games, but m , the Rugby the Intermediate te.am proved too weighty for their A?*!? the games .{lie visitors mftjsa . entertained in the scho.pl .assembly, hall, where speeches were niade by the respective captains.
