400,000 MEN TRAINED EQUIPMENT PROVIDED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Aug. 9. 2 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Aug. 9. The Australian Prime Minister, Mr. R. G. Menzies, disclosed that more than 400,000 men had been trained 'and equipped for the fighting services in Australia. Accepting on behalf of the Federal Government, the delivery, of the hundredth two-pounder, anti-tank gun produced, in one South Australian factory, Mr. Menzies, said that miracles had been performed in war production.
