SMUGGLING A LETTER
A charge of attempting to convey a letter out of prison while an inmate of the prison, was admitted by Patrick Kilkolly before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in Auckland. The superintendent of the prison said that Kilkolly was being dressed for release from the prison when a letter was found in his possession.
The accused was fined £5 in default seven days’ imprisonment.
