MOSCOW HOMES BOMBING BY GERMANS FEW PLANES OVER CITY (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Rccd. Aug. 5, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 4. Moscow had an air raid warning from 11.35 p.m. last night until 11.45 a.m. to-day, according to an agency message. Several groups of German planes attempted to raid the city, but only single bombers broke through. Others were repulsed by night fighters and anti-aircraft units. Several fires broke out affecting private dwellings, but these were rapidly extinguished. No military objectives were hit. The isolated planes which broke through were flying at a great height.
