EAST COAST TOURNEY WIN BY J. E. HOGAN The East Coast golf championship concluded ia Ewutona on Monday afternoon with a win for J. E. Hogan. On the last green he holed a 12ft. putt to win the match. The play all through the game was very even, but Hogan showed tils superiority by being one or two holes up most of tin round. Short, his opponent, playiel a steady game, hut was unlucky and failed to keep up the pace set by Hogan. The flight resulted in a win for J. E. Sharland, with A. R. Webster the runnerup. A bogey match resulted in a win for H. E. Reach, who returned a card of I up ou bogey. The qualifying round was played in conjunction with a best act medal round, and W. R. Hogan handed in a card of 67 net to win.

In a four-ball best-ball bogey, the winners were Sheerin and W. R. Hogan, 4 up. The best net medal round, conducted in conjunction with the finals of the East Coast championship and the first Might, was won by J. Smith with a score of 85 net. The club captain, Mr. Burrell, welcomed Hie visiting players, and congratulated the winhers before the prizes were presented by the president's wife, Mrs. P. G. Burton.
