SUSPENDED IN TREE
Hanging head downward for about 20 minutes in the upper branches of a large tree, a Waiwera farmer, Mr Be" J. Straka. aged 34, single, was found to have three fractures in his left leg when rescued. Mr, Straka was chopping off some of the upper branches of the tree in a tfustv wind when one of the branches sprang back and knocked him off his balance. He was caught by the feet in a fork of branches and hung until his calls for help brought assistance.
