NO DOUBT OF SAFETY
- MAJOR-GEN. FREYBERG (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The acting Prime Minister, the Hon. W. Nash, said to-daJJ|fthat there was rio doubt about the safety of the commander of the Allied forces in Crete, Major-General B. C. Freyberg.
Mr. Nash was commenting on German radio reports that MajorGeneral freyberg had been killed, and added that the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hbn. P. Fraser, had had conversations with him and other New Zealand ofllcers.
