ITALIANS IN ABYSSINIA WIDE R.A.F. BOMBING (Hritnh Odii lnl Wlr«1e«» ) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, June 1. A communique issued by British headquarters in Cairo states: “There is noth'ng important to report in Libya. In the lakes area ol Abyssinif our preparations / to round up the •cattered elements of the enemy who were recently defeated in battle are progressing. Further north, Patriot forces which daily are growing in strength are actively harassing the remaining Italian detachments. A Royal Air Force communique states: “In Cyrenaica Benghazi wa. s attacked by our bombers during Friday niaht. Bombs were observed bursting on the Cathedral mole and -n’ 'he Julian mole. Bombers of the south African Air Force attacked ■nemy motor transport, tents and buildings near Ghimbi, Abyssinia. Bombs were seen to fall on large buildings and parked motor transport. Tbo'' 0 four of our aircraft are missing.”
