LORD CAVENDISH AT ODDS TURNOVER £24,000 UP (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. The Wanganui Jockey Club’s winter meeting was concluded in brilliantly fine weather at Awapuni yesterday before a large attendance. The "tote" handled £30,655 lfts against £14,624 10s on the corresponding day last year. The investments for the meeting totalled £56,063, compared with £32,021 a year ago. concluding results are; — Empire Handicap, of £225; 9 furlongs.—B Lord Cavendish, 8.2 (D. W.
