SHEEP DOG TRIALS
WHATATUTU MEETING R. KING’S GOOD DOUBLE The success of R, King in both huntaway classes was an outstanding feature of the annual field meeting of the Whatatutu Sheepdog Trials Club, the competitor winning both times with the same dog. Entries at the meeting were large, 73 competitors taking part in the zig-zag huutaway class. Results were:— Class I, Long Head, G 5 entries (maximum points: Head 22, pull 22, work at ring 6; total 50). —C. J. Hyland’s Rose Marie, 20}, ISt, 3}, total 421 points, 1 ; J. D. Jobson’s Chief. 214, 16*, 3, total 41 points, 2; (1. H. Morice’s Sharp, 20, 17}, -3, .total 40} points, 3; J. Mclntyre’s Tay, 20, 17, 2}, total 30} points. 4. Class 11, Zig-zag Huntaway, 73 entries (maximum points: Hunt 24, stylo 12, noise 9), total 45 points:—R. King's York, 21}, 12, 4, total 41} points. 1; E. Irving’s llruce, 21, 12, 8, total’ 41 points, 2; E. Aylward’s Turk. 20}, 12, 8, total 40} points,.3; B. Fitzgerald’s Mate. 20, 12, 8, total 40 points, 4. Class 111, Straight Huntaway, 71 entries (maximum points: As above).—K. King’s York, 19, 12, B}, total 39} points, 1; E. Aylward’s Turk; 191, 11}, 8, total 39 points. 2: B.
