The fact that. so far the war has not brought about, the age-limit provisions which held sway in club Rugby in 1914-18, the senior grade remaining open, means that many young Rugby players have had a chance'to show wliat they can do in open company much earlier than might otherwise have been the case, states a writer in the Wellington Sports Post. Promotions from as low down as the fourth grade, and even from the colleges, have brough a lot of young talent out into the open. At Athletic Park there has been any amount of this class of Rugby material, and the use which is mr.de of its opportunities showed clearly that there is no cause just yet for worry about the future of tin? game.
