RADIO ANNOUNCEMENTS PROCEDURE "NOT PROPER" (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The making of defence policy statements by Ministers of the Crown over the radio was debated yesterday by ihe annual conference of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association which had before it the follcnvnt? recommendation from the committee on defence: —“Subversive propaganda and aliens. —This Domhiion council views with concern the practice of Ministers of the Crown making v> ■ not. defence-policy statements over the radio and considers it is not proper that such statements should be made in this manner.”
